Life Course Indicators Online Tool
Page Content Explore the set of 55 life course indicators by Category, Data Source, or Domain (tabs) and click on the names to expand the section. Individual indicators are denoted by an ID number (e.g. LC-47) and include numerous details, such as a brief description, numerator, denominator, data source, similar measures in other indicator sets, and national comparison data, where appropriate. Throughout Spring 2019, AMCHP will continue to add PDF narratives for each indicator, which will include important notes on calculating the indicator as well as information on how the indicator aligns with the data and life course screening criteria.
Download a printer-friendly version of the list of indicators Download an excel spreadsheet to sort and explore the indicators on your own Update: On June 18, 2014, a new version of the indicator spreadsheet was uploaded. Additions to this resource include national estimates for seven additional indicators and enhanced notes on calculations for seven indicators. One adjustment was made to an indicator definition (LC-51).
On October 31, 2018, an updated version of the indicator spreadsheet was uploaded. Additions to this resources included removal of eight selected indicators based on data availability.
Technical Notes: On January 14, 2014 and December 12, 2013, AMCHP staff made a series of technical corrections and updates to components of the final life course indicators, including numerators and denominators, to further clarify their calculation and use. Updates to numerators and denominators were minimal and were mostly clarifications; the majority of the changes add information to the notes on calculation. Additional changes including the removal of eight indicators was completed on October 31, 2018. These changes are now reflected in the online tool, excel spreadsheet, and printer-friendly versions. If you are concerned about how these changes may influence your calculation of the indicators, please contact AMCHP staff, who can supply you with the details of the specific changes.
