Networking Opportunities
Through formal opportunities such as the orientation during the MCHB Partnership meeting, AMCHP’s annual conference, regional calls, and committee meetings, AMCHP provides a forum for networking throughout the year. These opportunities will develop and foster mentor relationships between the new director and their mentor.
In addition, the program strives to establish regular communications between new and seasoned directors to provide ongoing guidance, resources and support. The frequency will dependent on each pairing and AMCHP recommends that mentoring pairs communicate by phone at least monthly.
Evaluation
To ensure that the New Director Mentor Program is achieving its goals and that there is continued quality improvement, each phase of the program will be evaluated. After completing each module, individuals are asked to complete an evaluation to provide us feedback related to the content.
The mentoring relationship will be evaluated in March and at the end of the program. At the end of the program, all participants will be asked to complete an overall evaluation.
