Value Stream Mapping

Date: December 19, 2013

This webinar provided an overview of the steps to the Value Stream Mapping process and how you can apply this to autism work in your states. Value Stream Mapping is a facilitation tool to analyze a process from beginning to end. The goal is to overlay all the steps in a process, such as a well-child visit, from every perspective (parents, providers, etc.) to create a "one page picture" that can highlight the processes that add value, and those that do not. Value Stream Mapping is a good way to generate a lot of data on how your work is done. It is also a great way to identify priorities, or get consensus, from all stakeholders in order to determine ways to improve the process and increase the value-added. Speakers included:
