
Directing Actions Through Activities (D.A.T.A.)
On August 7-9, the collaborative SPHARC/LEND Peer-to-Peer was held in Mystic, Connecticut and was designed to facilitate instruction and information sharing amongst ASD/DD Grantees and their state or neighboring LEND program through the illustration and use of concrete examples; how to identify, collect and evaluate data to assess the impact of their pilots, programs and projects on systems of care for children with ASD/DD. ASD/DD and LEND grantees from CO, CT, GA, ME, MD, OH, TN, UT, VT participated in the exchange.
The objectives for the meeting were:
- To identify effective methods of collecting useful data for evaluation of CAAI supported activities within states
- To share strategies for successful use of data to build and evaluate systems and to drive policy development for children and youth with ASD/DD
- To promote strategic partnerships and collaboration around CAAI evaluation
- To assist in the development of an action plan for exchange state teams around data collection and evaluation
- To participate in an evaluation (developed by AMCHP with input from participating states)
- To identify further areas of technical assistance, if necessary
