Friends of Title V
Friends of Title V is a coalition of organizations that share an interest in maternal and child health. The Friends of Title V support maternal and child health at the national level and advocate for continued funding of the Title V block grant.
The Title V block grant is a safety net program devoted to improving the health of all women and children, including those who are low-income, at-risk, uninsured or underinsured. Funding cuts at the state and federal levels are impacting the ability of MCH programs to serve America’s families. The demand for services is rising as programs are faced with shrinking resources.
The Friends of Title V coalition is developing an action plan to support restoration of funds to the block grant and working to educate our elected officials about the health needs of women and children.
