HRSA Newborn Screening Technical Assistance and Data Repository Program Grant

HRSA National Maternal and Child Health Data Resource Center Cooperative Agreement Program

The purpose of this cooperative agreement is to ensure that state and local maternal and child health (MCH) programs have access to timely and standardized data and are provided with the necessary technical support to utilize such information. This cooperative agreement will support a Data Resource Center (DRC) that provides user-friendly access to national and state level data on children, mothers, and families. The DRC will highlight and describe established data sets currently available to the public in order to ensure that these resources are readily available to be used to provide an evidence base for state and local maternal and child health programming. The overarching vision for the DRC is to dramatically broaden the valid and standardized use of national and state level survey data to assist national, state and family leaders to understand the gaps that need to be addressed in children's health and to take action to advance positive health outcomes for children, youth, families and communities. HRSA National Quality Improvement/Management Technical Assistance Center (NQC) Cooperative Agreement Grant

This announcement solicits applications for the National Quality Improvement/Management Technical Assistance Center (NQC). The NQC will provide training and technical assistance (T/TA) related to quality improvement and quality management to Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program) grantees and funded providers to improve the quality of care and services and respond to and implement quality management legislative mandates. The purpose of the NQC cooperative agreement is to provide T/TA to Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWP) grantees and their constituents. In collaboration with HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), and other RWP stakeholders and partners, the cooperative agreement will engage in activities that transfer knowledge, skills, and practical help to grantees, providers, planning bodies, and other constituents in their work with funded RWPs in the areas of quality management. Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act Grants

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2012 Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act (STOP Act) grants. The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth age 12-20 in communities throughout the United States. The STOP Act program was created to strengthen collaboration among communities, the Federal Government, and State, local and tribal governments; to enhance intergovernmental cooperation and coordination on the issue of alcohol use among youth; to serve as a catalyst for increased citizen participation and greater collaboration among all sectors and organizations of a community that first demonstrates a long-term commitment to reducing alcohol use among youth; to disseminate to communities timely information regarding state-of-the-art practices and initiatives that have proven to be effective in preventing and reducing alcohol use among youth; and to enhance, not supplant, effective local community initiatives for preventing and reducing alcohol use among youth. HRSA Funding for Affordable Care Act - Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Research Program

Within the MCH Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Research Program, funding is available in FY 2012 to support approximately two (2) extramural multi-year research projects. The MIECHV Research Program supports applied research relating to maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting services which show promise of advancing knowledge about the implementation and effectiveness of home visiting programs designed to improve life outcomes among mothers, infants, and young children. Findings from the research supported by the MIECHV Research Program are expected to have potential for application in improving home visiting programs for mothers and children. HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Part D Grants for Coordinated HIV Services and Access to Research for Women, Infants, Children, and Youth (WICY) Grant

CDC Funding for Cancer Prevention and Control Programs for State, Territorial and Tribal Organizations

The purpose of this FOA is to transition this highly-functional public health infrastructure for cancer prevention and control into new roles and functions to anticipate the nation’s needs over the next decade. The goals are to (1) seek efficiencies across the management and operations of cancer prevention and control programs, (2) focus on high-burden cancers with evidence-based, scalable interventions that already exist and can be broadly implemented, (3) develop organized screening programs that are more effective and efficient than current opportunistic approaches, and (4) maintain high-quality cancer registries and expand their application in prevention and screening.
