Monday Morning General Session: The Future of Title V and MCH Programs
With many changes and challenges ahead for Title V and MCH, Clem Bezold from the Institute for Alternative Futures will take a look at the forces shaping health care and public/population health. Looking at trends and scenarios from several reports, including Vulnerability 2030 and Public Health 2030, this session will examine the federal debt and deficit, the state of the economy and poverty, and the role of state and local government in public health and health promotion.
Tuesday Morning General Session: Working Together on Early Childhood Systems: Implementing a Multi-Sector Approach
Organizations are beginning to change their approach to improving early childhood systems by utilizing a multi-sector approach. Housing is investing in health, banks are investing in housing and health, and health is encouraging partnerships with many other industries. Learn practical examples of multi-sector approaches to improving systems of care for early childhood and education from an expert panel and how public health, specifically MCH, can use this to further their programs.
Individual Professional Coaching
Join us at the 2014 AMCHP Annual Conference and get access to individual professional coaching sessions as part of your full conference registration. Coaching is a relationship between a coach and a client to help the client achieve individual goals. Need a career boost, time to reflect on what’s next, or an opportunity to work on your own professional development? Are you ready for change? Coaching is a useful tool and resource to help think through what one wants to achieve, how they might do so and keep one focused on their goals. A coach provides a consistent structure, encouragement and an objective perspective based on the client’s agenda. If you are wondering if coaching is for you, this is a great opportunity to find out.
