Interim Guidelines for the Evaluation and Testing of Infants with Possible Congenital Zika Virus Infection
The CDC, in consultation with the American Academy of Pediatrics, has developed interim guidelines for the evaluation, testing, and management of infants born to mothers who traveled to or resided in an area with Zika virus transmission during pregnancy. The guidelines gives assistance to healthcare providers caring for infants with microcephaly or intracranial calcifications detected prenatally or at birth, and infants who are at risk based on maternal exposure.
