The program associate is a member of the
program team and contributes to the advancement of maternal and child health
programs by performing a variety of administrative, logistic and planning tasks
that enable AMCHP program team projects to succeed. The associate contributes
to the collection of state best practices (Innovation Station), newsletter
development and implementation of communication strategies. The recruits will
fill open positions on the epidemiology and evaluation, the health reform
implementation, and the women’s and infant health teams. Candidates should have
knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree

MCH Epidemiology Position at the University of Illinois at Chicago
The Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology
(MCHEPI) Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public
Health is hiring a visiting senior research specialist to serve as the project
director for several practice-based initiatives of the program. The primary
role of the project director will be to support data-related activities of the
Maternal and Child Health (Title V) Program at the Illinois Department of
Public Health. This includes developing and monitoring performance measures;
analyzing surveillance data related to maternal and infant morbidity and
mortality; providing input for upgrading, expanding and integrating data
collection systems; and disseminating and translating results to inform program
and policy decisions. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of related
research experience and hold a doctorate degree in public health or a related
