 On Your Behalf

AMCHP working on your behalf.

  • On Feb. 3, AMCHP staff Andria Cornell presented opportunities for clinical and public health partnerships to improve maternal health outcomes at the "Putting the M Back in Maternal-Fetal Medicine" special session hosted in conjunction with the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Annual Meeting. Among the presentations provided, panel members described opportunities to advance review of maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity and sustain maternal quality collaboratives (with examples from California, North Carolina, and Illinois). Ms. Cornell's comments focused on raising awareness of the Title V MCH Services Block Grant and the spirit of its recent transformation, as well as key findings and insights from the AMCHP Every Mother Initiative and the maternal health compendium currently under development.
