The associate director, health reform implementation is accountable for the development, implementation and evaluation of program activities within AMCHP's National Center for Health Reform Implementation through cooperative agreements and grants, including health reform activities that are part of the National MCH Workforce Development Center. The associate director reports to the director of programs and serves as liaison to the policy team. S/he leads efforts with AMCHP to 1) track, analyze, and report on federal and state legislation and programs impacting state maternal and child health programs and 2) help maternal and child health (MCH) programs improve health outcomes for women, children, and families through implementation of federal and state health reforms. The program associate, child and adolescent health is a member of the program team and contributes to the advancement of maternal and child health (MCH) programs by performing a variety of planning and program implementation, research and evaluation projects. This position supports and assists the child and adolescent health team in the development, implementation and evaluation of program activities related to MCH and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN), child health and adolescent health. This position also contributes to the collection of state best practices (Innovation Station), newsletter development, and implementation of communication strategies. AMCHP Seeks Program Manager, Workforce Development and Capacity Building (#14-10002)
The program manager for workforce development and capacity building is a member of the Program Team and supports the advancement of MCH programs by contributing to major issues surrounding workforce and capacity building for AMCHP members. The work involves contributing to the development, implementation, support and evaluation of activities as part of the Center, collaboration with staff and partners of the Center, as well as performing a variety of planning and program implementation, research, and evaluation projects related to capacity building, including the AMCHP Best Practices Innovation Station and Replication Initiatives, partnership with fellow staff, participation in associated professional organizations and groups, and collaboration with member programs and funding agencies.
