- On Mar. 30, AMCHP staff Lacy Fehrenbach presented a workshop session at the National Healthy Start Conference on Aligning National, State, and Local Efforts to Improve the Health of Women, Children, and Families. The session highlighted local, state, and national MCH initiatives that share goals with Healthy Start related to improving women’s health before, during, and after pregnancy, improving birth outcomes and health equity; and giving each child the best opportunity to reach his or her full potential. AMCHP activities related to the Birth Outcomes Compendium, Connecting the Dots Meeting, Preconception Health, and Maternal Health were highlighted and of great interest to healthy start grantees.
