It is with great gratitude to all of you that I would like to share I will be leaving AMCHP at the end of July to take a new position as Executive Vice President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. The past six years at AMCHP have been wonderful and I thank you all for your support of me, of our board and staff, and of AMCHP.
We have come a long way in the last six years and there are many accomplishments to celebrate. AMCHP has grown larger, our presence has spread wider, and our influence is greater than ever. We have an active and engaged membership and strong partnerships with many key groups that share our goals and agenda. We have a capable, professional, and committed staff and leadership that are a joy to work with and care deeply about the success of AMCHP. I am deeply thankful to all of you for helping us achieve these and many other goals.
Over the next few weeks, AMCHP leadership will determine next steps in the transition, including how to engage member input in the work of selecting the next AMCHP chief executive. This is an exciting time to position AMCHP for the future. If you have specific thoughts or suggestions please reach out to me and/or Millie Jones, our president, and stay tuned to upcoming issues of Member Briefs for more information. We will include a special “Transition Update” section in future issues as significant milestones in the search process are identified later this summer.
Again, thank you all for what you have shared with me and contributed to both AMCHP and my own professional growth. I will miss you all a great deal and look forward to hearing about AMCHP successes well into the future.
