MIECHV TACC Website Launched
The Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Technical Assistance Coordinating Center (MIECHV TACC) launched its website, to assist Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grantees in implementing MIECHV funded home visiting programs. Supportive services are provided in varying formats including this interactive website. The website is divided into two sections: training and resources. The training section provides visitors access to archived home visiting audio and visual training materials. The home visiting target audience will also have private use of a collaboration portal for peer-to-peer information sharing. The resources section will feature links to organizations, websites, materials and other resources on issues associated with home visiting and improved child and family outcomes. Emergency Preparedness and MCH: A guide to the Reproductive Health Assessment after Disaster (RHAD) Toolkit Webinar Archive Available
The AMCHP/CDC national webinar, Emergency Preparedness and MCH: A guide to the Reproductive Health Assessment after Disaster (RHAD) Toolkit, is now available in our archive. This webinar included a description on the importance of post-disaster reproductive health assessments and the rationale for the creation of the RHAD Toolkit, highlighted one state’s experience trying to capture post-disaster reproductive health data for their MCH program following a disaster, and reviewed the successes, challenges and lessons learned from piloting the Toolkit. AMCHP Webinar: Using the Community Guide to Improve Childhood Obesity Prevention Archive Now Available
A webinar archive of the Jul. 10 AMCHP and CDC hosted national webinar, Using Evidence to Inform Efforts to Confront Childhood Obesity, is now available. This webinar, accompanied by the release of the AMCHP Issue Brief: Using the Community Guide to Improve Childhood Obesity Prevention included an introduction to the Community Guide and highlighted a specific state example for using evidence based interventions to address childhood obesity.
