AMCHP Open Position: Program Associate, CYSHCN
This full-time position supports AMCHP efforts to build capacity and provide resources for state MCH and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) programs. This position supports and assists the CYSHCN team and other program staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of program activities related to MCH and CYSHCN, with a particular focus on the AMCHP State Public Health Autism Resource Center (SPHARC). The incumbent also contributes to the collection of state best practices (Innovation Station), newsletter development and implementation of communication strategies (MS SharePoint, listserv, etc.). Nemours Seeks Director of Health Policy and Advocacy
The director will develop a proactive health policy agenda across Nemours and provide leadership and direction to an office based in Washington, DC. The Nemours Office of Health Policy and Advocacy uses three strategic tools of “being at/creating the right table” (collaborating with and engaging strategic partnerships); spreading models (identifying, developing and supporting model policies and practices to scale nationally); and enhancing innovation (identifying and determining strategic areas of focus that will move the field of child health and establish Nemours’ credibility and expertise) to facilitate this work. This includes overseeing staff that perform the following: convening meetings, briefings and conferences on relevant topics; educating and lobbying policymakers on the Hill and in the administration on key issues to advance Nemours’ policy agenda; and preparing reports, issue briefs, opinion pieces and other written materials that are relevant to Nemours’ policy agenda. This position reports to the Nemours vice president for policy and prevention and is responsible for management of the DC office budget of $1.4 million.
