AMCHP Open Position: Program Associate, CYSHCN
This full-time position supports AMCHP efforts to build capacity and provide resources for state MCH and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) programs. This position supports and assists the CYSHCN team and other program staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of program activities related to MCH and CYSHCN, with a particular focus on the AMCHP State Public Health Autism Resource Center (SPHARC). The incumbent also contributes to the collection of state best practices (Innovation Station), newsletter development and implementation of communication strategies (MS SharePoint, listserv, etc.). The National Healthy Start Association (NHSA) seeks a visionary, highly energetic, and politically well-informed leader with executive presence and expertise that will be passionate about the NHSA mission – To be our nation's voice in providing leadership and advocacy for health equity, services, and interventions that improve birth outcomes and family wellbeing. The Executive Director has the analytical, intellectual understanding of health equity and disparities and its impact on the quality of health of our nation’s families. S/He demonstrates knowledge and skill in engaging and mobilizing the broad and diverse national community in which NHSA operates. S/He brings an ability to motivate, engage and energize association and board members, organizational partners and politicos to substantially raise the level of national visibility of NHSA, its projects and families. Strong facilitation and enabling skills built on character and conviction allow the Executive Director to successfully work with a strong, engaged Board of Directors dedicated to the NHSA organization.
