AMCHP Open Position: Program Associate, CYSHCN
This full-time position supports AMCHP efforts to build capacity and provide resources for state MCH and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) programs. This position supports and assists the CYSHCN team and other program staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of program activities related to MCH and CYSHCN, with a particular focus on the AMCHP State Public Health Autism Resource Center (SPHARC). The incumbent also contributes to the collection of state best practices (Innovation Station), newsletter development and implementation of communication strategies (MS SharePoint, listserv, etc.). CDC DCH Accepting Applications for Director, Division of Community Health
The CDC Division of Community Health (DCH) promotes sustainable community action to improve health and achieve health equity. This division was recently created as part of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion to allow greater focus on existing community health programs and on the newly developed Community Transformation Grant Program. The director has a broad operating authority and is responsible for overall planning, direction and management of the division and will lead efforts of the division and its grantee programs to mobilize and coordinate partnerships and collaborations to build a national infrastructure for community health. The director also is responsible for advancing community health by providing national leadership in applied research, epidemiology, evaluation, surveillance and performance monitoring at the community level. In addition, the director will also develop and maintain relationships among a variety of national and international public health, medical, and environmental organizations; other government agencies; academic institutions; and state and local health departments. MCHB Seeks Director of the Division of Healthy Start and Perinatal Services
The director of the Division of Healthy Start and Perinatal Services (DHSPS) serves as the point of accountability with the bureau for MCH Block Grant to states programs. As a principal maternal and child health specialist within DHSPS, MCHB and HRSA, the director serves as the advocate for the program with other organizations, both governmental and private. Incumbent will provide a central MCHB point of reference for program continuity and information for the associate administrator in the area of the perinatal systems and women's health programs. AAP Job Opening: Manager for Screening and Public Health Prevention Programs
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) seeks a manager for screening and public health prevention programs within the division of children with special needs. This individual will oversee and manage the Program to Enhance the Health and Development of Infants and Children (PEHDIC) and newborn screening programs in an effort to expand provider and public education as it relates to health promotion and disease prevention.
