Congressional Lame Duck Session Expected to Begin Nov. 13
Congress remains on recess for the 2012 elections today. Once that dust settles, a lame duck session is expected to begin on Nov. 13, allowing just six weeks to seek a solution to the pending sequestration automatic budget cuts and other pressing fiscal cliff business. AMCHP continues to press policymakers to use a balanced approach that recognizes the deep cuts non-defense discretionary programs have already contributed to deficit reduction. As a reminder, the AMCHP sequestration web hub is available here.
