STD Awareness Month has arrived, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control has updated four of its popular campaigns – GYT: Get Yourself Tested, Talk. Test. Treat., Syphilis Strikes Back, and Treat Me Right. Each campaign includes materials and products that can be tailored to fit the needs of the people you serve.
Prevention Business Case Simulation Tool
Nemours has just released the "Prevention Business Case Simulation Tool" and its accompanying user guide. The tool, developed with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, estimates the Medicaid or managed care organization osts of investing in childhood obesity treatment and prevention, savings resulting from the intervention, and the expected health benefits and timeline of savings. The tool was built using evidence from the research literature and validated with Maryland Medicaid data. The tool allows users to customize results by state data on child obesity rates and other factors.

Advancing Systems of Services for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Network Overview Handout
This handout provides an overview of the Advancing Systems of Services for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Network for state Maternal and Child Health Title V / Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs, families, pediatricians, community organizations, and others interested in learning how the Network can support in implementation of the pediatric medical home model of care, transition from pediatric to adult healthcare, and adequate insurance for CYSHCN and their families.

The Catalyst Center has added three new one-page infographics to a series exploring key focus areas in health care financing and coverage for children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN). Resources for further information about leveraging partnerships for CYSHCN are listed at the bottom of each infographic. The most recent infographics address: Family Engagement and CYSHCN, Pathways to Medicaid Coverage for CYSHCN, and Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) and CYSHCN.
