AMCHP's 2019 Legislative Agenda Focuses on MCH Priorities
AMCHP's Board of Directors recently approved AMCHP's 2019 Federal Policy Agenda. Under that agenda, AMCHP will play a leadership role to: 1. fund the Title V MCH Services Block Grant at $698 million in federal fiscal year 2020; 2. protect funding for critical prevention and public health priorities, including emergency preparedness for maternal and child health populations; 3. advance policies to promote safe motherhood; and 4. promote alignment of efforts to address substance use. AMCHP will play a partnership role on several additional policy priorities to improve the health and well-being of maternal and child health populations.
