Harrison Kicks Off Substance Abuse/Mental Health Plenary
Dr. Nzinga Harrison, chief medical officer of Anka Behavioral Health Inc., will deliver a lecture during the Tuesday morning plenary session at AMCHP 2019, entitled, "The Intersection of Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health: How the MCH Workforce Can Promote Family- and Youth-Friendly Prevention and Intervention." She will then join a panel discussion about state and community response to mental health and substance use crises, with Tammy Boyd, director of health policy and legislative affairs at the Black Women's Health Imperative; Cherisse Scott, founder and CEO of Sister Reach; Jenny Baker, adolescent health project coordinator at the Alaska Division of Public Health; and Stacy Collins, AMCHP's associate director for health systems transformation.

Learn and Vote at AMCHP's Annual Business Meeting
All AMCHP members, partners, and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend the AMCHP Annual Business meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m., in Salon A at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter during the Annual Conference. State delegates and regular members, as part of their membership benefits, have voting rights in all association matters that come before them during the business meeting and should plan to attend to exercise those rights. Full breakfast will be served.
