Title V Partners Gather to Share Strategies, Ideas
About 200 leaders from Title V agencies across the nation gathered at the MCH Federal/State Partnership Title V Technical Assistance Meeting – held Oct. 17-19 in Arlington, Va. – to share the latest ideas, strategies and research. For those who couldn't make it, AMCHP produced a special edition of Pulse Plus that summarizes selected workshops and plenary presentations.

Resource Center Helps States Empower Young People
An article published by the University of Washington School of Public Health, Is Youth Engagement Enough? , highlights the work of the Adolescent and Young Adult Health National Resource Center to empower young people to share their talents and ideas about access to and the quality of preventive services. The article points out that a renewed focus on adolescent well-being has many in the public health sector thinking of new ways to involve teenagers in their own health care decisions, and explains how the Center works with states to engage more youth at the strategy level.

Moms Raise Voices for Maternal Health
Momsrising compiled a birth and maternal health resource book, Raising Our Voices for Maternal Health, with personal stories from women in almost every state, along with statistics and other information, to use as an educational tool in efforts to improve maternal health outcomes and reduce racial disparities.
