CDC Releases Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant Evaluation Report
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report about its evaluation of the Preventive Health and Health Services (PHHS) Block Grant: Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant Evaluation Report: 2017 Framework Measures Assessment — Key Findings. The report shows that grantees are using grant funds to improve their ability to collect essential data, improve the quality of programs and services, address emerging needs, and implement interventions that are known to work.
CMS Report on Telehealth in Medicare
The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services published a report to Congress detailing the state of telehealth in the Medicare program. It says telehealth utilization among Medicare-fee-service beneficiaries has increased, although services have primarily focused on the needs of rural beneficiaries.

The information includes data about symptoms and lab results, and how the CDC is addressing the problem.
