 Call for Nominations

The Governance Committee is seeking nominations for the 2021 Board of Directors election. As a board director, you would help shape the policies and positions of AMCHP, represent your Title V peers from across the country, ensure the future viability and financial stability of the organization, work directly with federal partners, and gain leadership experience in a national association.


The following upcoming vacancies are now open for nominations as of September 1, 2020, for elections to be held in February 2021. 


AMCHP is still accepting nominations through January 29, 2020 for our Family Representative and Region IV positions only. Elections will be held in early 2021 for all positions.


AMCHP member delegates are encouraged to consider applying. Your help is needed to fill these important positions! Thank you in advance for your interest, ongoing support and representation of your state or region.


REGION IV [AL, GA, FL, KY, MS, NC, SC, TN] (NOMINATIONS OPEN)

Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of MCH programs in your region. 


We are currently actively seeking nominations from your region to fill this vacancy. Only current delegates from Region IV are eligible for this position. This is a full-term regional director position (May 2021 - the close of the 2024 AMCHP Conference). Elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full term election if interested.


REGION VIII [CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WY] (NOMINATIONS CLOSED)

Determine policies, procedures, and regulations for the conduct of AMCHP; ensure the necessary resources, both financial and other, for the operation of AMCHP and its programs; monitor organization performance; and represent the interests and needs of MCH programs in your region. 


This is a full-term regional director position (May 2021 - the close of the 2024 AMCHP Conference). Elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full term election if interested.


Director-at-Large (NOMINATIONS CLOSED)

This is a full-term director-at-large position (May 2021 - the close of the 2024 AMCHP Conference). Elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full term election if interested.


Family Representative (NOMINATIONS OPEN)

We are currently actively seeking nominations from ALL regions to fill this vacancy. Only regular members and current delegates who are family liaisons to Title V programs are eligible for this position. This is a full-term family representative position (May 2021 - the close of the 2024 AMCHP Conference). Elected candidates will be eligible for up to one (1) additional full-term election if interested.


This process will remain open through January 29, 2021. Once a candidate(s) is identified, the AMCHP Governance Committee will subsequently conduct telephone interviews with candidates, and the AMCHP full voting membership will vote through a virtual election process. 


Step 1: Download and fill out the Blank Candidate Questionnaire.


Step 2: Send nomination questionnaires to Nikeisha Ogletree, AMCHP Associate Director of Human Resources and Administration (NOgletree@amchp.org). Please include the nominee's name, title, agency or affiliation, address, phone, fax, and e-mail. Nominees must be AMCHP Delegates (as designated by their Title V MCH program member and CSHCN program member) whose membership is in good standing. To verify membership status, contact Linnard Corbin (lcorbin@amchp.org) Acting Membership and Meetings Associate. Please obtain permission from nominees before submitting their name. All nominations are due by January 29, 2020.
