Background & Bio

Kate Taft, MPH, is a part-time grants manager at AMCHP. She supports the organization’s grants management and reporting processes, efforts to streamline budget and contract monitoring processes, and financial reporting, as well as assisting with grant development. Prior to her current role, she had over fifteen years of public health experience working on issues that affect children’s health, such as early childhood development, mental health, and injury prevention at the public health and individual levels. She’s held several roles on AMCHP’s child and adolescent health team over the years including associate director and senior program manager. She looks forward to bringing together her programmatic experience with the grants and budget management processes. Ms. Taft received her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in maternal and child health from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the College of William and Mary.
