Jessica Stieger, MPH, MSW, IBCLC, CD(DONA), is the program manager of infant health. Ms. Stieger brings a wealth of experience and subject matter expertise to her position. Most recently, she served as a lactation consultant and birth doula for clients in the DMV area. During and before completing the combined MPH/MSW degree program at UNC-Chapel Hill, she supported perinatal health activities through the lens of a variety of sectors, including community-based organizations (with Mamatoto Village), governmental public health (at DC DOH), and clinical research (at Whitman-Walker Clinic). While at UNC, she worked closely with many of our partners involved in the MCH Workforce Development Center and the UNC Center for Maternal and Infant Health and completed a research project on improving birth outcomes for incarcerated women in N.C. At AMCHP, Ms. Stieger manages the IM CoIIN SDOH and the CSTLTS Early Child Feeding Project, among a number of other activities.
