Background & Bio

Dorianne Butler is the Operations Coordinator at AMCHP. Dorianne is a high-performing Administrative Assistant with over 35 years of experience providing high-quality administration and human resource support, working with both governmental and private organizations. Dorianne’s expertise is in administrative functions and Human Resources as she is responsible for working with regional partners and travel logistics, billing, procurement, and using different systems and applications.  Ms. Butler is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude to encourage others and her amazing team.  Previously, she served in many government agencies including working with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program with the Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (ADASA), the Commission on Public Health-Long-Term Care Administration, and she has experience in the hotel industry as a Human Resource Generalist, Senior Administrative Assistant, and Sales Assistant.

Before joining AMCHP, Ms. Butler also served as a Nurse Monitor Assistant at Specialty Care Services and was given special recognition for creating the first Nurse Monitor Policy and Procedure Manual for the Nurse Monitor program and overseeing 500 clients for services in Montgomery County.

Ms. Butler is inspired daily by her family and her amazing grandson born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome a rare congenital heart defect.  In her free time, Ms. Butler likes to play video games with her grandson, she enjoys visiting art galleries, and museums, and taking her grandson to the movies.  She likes to share her lived experiences on social media sites on children living with HLHS, Congenital Heart Defects and is a first-time author sharing her family’s personal journals of her grandson living with HLHS.
