AJ Bennett, CPA, is the controller at AMCHP. He is a career finance and accounting professional with 15 years of experience. He most previously served as the associate controller at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. Mr. Bennett has other extensive nonprofit experience in finance and accounting management, having worked with the District of Columbia Primary Care Association and N Street Village. In all of his nonprofit roles, he has directly supported full cycle accounting, budget preparation, grants and contracts, and auditing. Prior to making the move towards mission-driven nonprofits, Mr. Bennett worked in the area of public accounting and audit (where his clientele were nonprofit organizations). He is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated with a double major in accounting and finance from James Madison University.
